Conventional wisdom says that in therapy, the real work happens in the last 10 minutes of the session. So here’s an idea: Convene the do-nothing Congress only for the 2-month lame-duck session out of each 24-month term. We might actually have a chance of getting something done. Then cut Congressional salaries and all associated costs by 90%.
